WHIMZEES by Wellness Daily Dental Hedgehog Large

Give your dog's daily dental routine a little character. WHIMZEES Hedgehog Large is an edible, vegetarian dental chew with a firm, knobbly shape that encourages chewing. Its textured surfaces and grooves help reduce plaque and tartar and freshen breath as your dog chews.

The grain-free recipe is made with plant-based ingredients, without meat. The pictured Large pack is labelled for dogs weighing 18–27kg. Choose the 6 Pack or Case of 30 using the selector, and always check the current pack's size guidance before feeding. Not suitable for dogs under 9 months.

Analytical Constituents

Crude protein 1.1%, fat content 2%, crude fibre 7.2%, crude ash 2.4%, moisture 12%. Refer to the current pack for the product supplied.

Feeding and Safety

Offer one correctly sized chew per day, following the current pack's weight guidance. This is a complementary treat, not a complete meal. Include treats within your dog's daily food allowance. Not suitable for dogs under 9 months; do not use a Large chew for a dog outside its recommended size range.

Always supervise and ensure the chew is thoroughly chewed. Swallowing any edible chew without adequate chewing can cause serious harm. Provide fresh drinking water and store in a cool, dry place. Dental chews complement rather than replace toothbrushing and veterinary dental care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which dogs is Hedgehog Large intended for?

The pictured Large pack is labelled for dogs weighing 18–27kg. Dogs must also be at least 9 months old. Follow the current pack's guidance for the product supplied.

What pack options are available?

Choose the 6 Pack or Case of 30. Both options on this listing are Hedgehog Large; pack quantity does not change the chew-size requirement.

What does the chew help with?

Its chewing action helps reduce plaque and tartar and freshen breath. It is not a treatment for dental disease.

Is it vegetarian and grain-free?

Yes. The manufacturer describes Hedgehog as a vegetarian, grain-free dental chew made without meat.

Can puppies have it?

Not under 9 months. Older dogs still need to meet the Large chew's weight guidance and must be supervised.

How often can I give one?

The manufacturer recommends one properly sized chew per day. Follow the current pack and account for its calories in your dog's daily allowance.

Can I leave my dog alone with it?

No. Always supervise and make sure your dog chews it thoroughly rather than swallowing it whole or in large pieces.

Is it guaranteed suitable for dogs with allergies?

No. Vegetarian and grain-free do not mean safe for every allergy. Check the full ingredients, including malt extract and lupine, and consult your vet if your dog follows an exclusion diet.
