Frequently Asked Questions

Can I feed this from birth?
This recipe is suitable from 3 weeks of age — the point at which puppies typically begin weaning. For very young puppies, soak the kibble in warm water to create a soft, porridge-like consistency that's easy for them to eat.

Is this suitable for pregnant bitches?
Yes — the higher nutrient density of a puppy food makes it suitable for pregnant and lactating bitches who have significantly increased nutritional requirements during this period.

Why do breeders trust Skinner's Puppy Food?
Skinner's Field & Trial Puppy Food has been used by breeders across the UK for generations due to its reliable, balanced formula and the brand's long heritage in working dog nutrition.

When should I transition to a junior or adult food?
Most puppies can transition to a junior or adult food at around 6–18 months depending on breed size. Larger breeds benefit from staying on a puppy or junior food for longer. Transition gradually over 7–10 days.
