Ultra size guide

The supplied manufacturer chart gives the following length and width values. It defines width measurement as circumference around the widest part of the nose, usually just below the eyes, and length from the nose tip to its base just below the eyes. Follow the current Ultra instructions for measurement and fitting clearance.

• Size 1: length 5cm; width/circumference 22cm.
• Size 2: length 6cm; width/circumference 26cm.
• Size 3: length 7cm; width/circumference 28cm.
• Size 4: length 8cm; width/circumference 32cm.
• Size 5: length 9.5cm; width/circumference 36cm.
• Size 6: length 10cm; width/circumference 42cm.

Measure the individual dog rather than relying on breed or body weight. The chart highlights length as particularly important. Ensure adequate room for comfortable mouth opening and panting; seek model-specific advice if between sizes rather than automatically choosing a larger one. No universal breed fit is guaranteed.

Fitting and supervised use

Use all attachment points as directed in the current manufacturer's instructions. Check strap adjustment, basket clearance and condition before each use. Straps do not establish an escape-proof or bite-proof guarantee.

The supplied heat-shaping graphic describes warming the basket in hot tap water for two minutes, shaping, cooling in cold water and checking fit. Follow the current product instructions, reshape only off the dog, and ensure the basket is cool before fitting. Heat-shaping is not a substitute for selecting the correct size.

Introduce slowly with reward-based training, beginning with voluntary investigation and nose placement before brief wearing periods. Do not force the muzzle on or use it as punishment. Supervise throughout, stop if there is distress, rubbing, restricted breathing or insufficient panting room, and never leave a muzzled dog unattended. A muzzle does not replace appropriate distance, handling or professional behavioural advice.

Frequently asked questions

Can my dog pant, drink and take treats?

Check these functions with the exact size and fit before use. The basket must provide adequate mouth-opening and panting space; basket appearance alone does not guarantee a suitable fit.

Which size should I choose?

Measure snout length and circumference and consult the Ultra chart and current fitting instructions. Breed examples are not a substitute for measurement.

Is Size 5 available?

Yes. This listing offers all six options, including Size 5.

Can the basket be reshaped?

The supplied manufacturer graphic provides heat-shaping instructions. Follow the current product instructions and allow it to cool before fitting.

Will the straps prevent removal in every situation?

No guarantee is made. Correct adjustment, appropriate attachment, inspection and supervision remain essential.

Is it guaranteed to stop scavenging?

No. Do not transfer anti-scavenging guard claims from another model to the Ultra basket.

Does this listing establish legal compliance for a particular dog?

No. Product choice alone does not establish compliance with any applicable requirements. Check the requirements relevant to your situation.
