Alpha Pet Foods is a trusted British brand with a long heritage in sensitive and working dog nutrition. The Alpha Sensitive Extra range is designed for dogs that need more than a standard sensitive recipe — using carefully selected novel proteins and a clean, minimal ingredient list to minimise the risk of dietary triggers while delivering complete, balanced nutrition.

Feeding Guide

Feed as directed on the packaging based on your dog’s weight and activity level. Alpha Sensitive Extra can be fed dry or moistened with warm water. Always ensure fresh drinking water is available at all times. Transition to a new food gradually over 7–10 days — this is particularly important for dogs with known sensitivities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Alpha Sensitive Extra a complete food?

Yes — Alpha Sensitive Extra with Duck & Rice is a 100% complete and balanced dry dog food. No additional supplementation is required when fed as directed.

What makes this different from the standard Alpha Sensitive recipe?

Alpha Sensitive Extra uses duck as a novel protein source rather than chicken, making it suitable for dogs that have not responded sufficiently to standard sensitive recipes or that have sensitivities to more common proteins like chicken. It also includes fish meal and linseed for added omega-3 support.

Is duck a good protein for sensitive dogs?

Yes — duck is a novel protein that is less commonly used in dog food, making it an excellent choice for dogs with sensitivities to more standard proteins such as chicken, beef, or lamb. It is easily digestible and palatable for most dogs.

Is this suitable for dogs with multiple food sensitivities?

Alpha Sensitive Extra is wheat gluten free, soya free, dairy free, and free from artificial additives, making it one of the cleaner sensitive options available. For dogs with clinically diagnosed multiple allergies, always consult your vet before changing diet.

Where is Alpha Sensitive Extra made?

Alpha Sensitive Extra is manufactured in the UK.
